For over a decade magician John Gabriel has been thrilling audiences with his unique style of magic. Mixing humor and suspense while flawlessly executing illusions with romantic choreography - all performed precisely to a backdrop of compelling music that highlights every mood. NBC hailed John Gabriel as “Magic’s Hottest New Star.”
From his beginnings Gabriel has generated a pop culture in magic by applying shocking new twists to some of the classics in his art. John Gabriel premiered his well known romantic double levitation on NBC, which was hailed as one the greatest illusions of the year. During this illusion, Gabriel levitates himself next to his assistant, who is also suspended 12 feet in the air.
In addition to performing shows to packed houses, including such venues as the Stardust and Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, Gabriel has performed magic in national television commercials for many of the major advertising agencies. In March 2008, the John Gabriel – Magic Redefined show was honored with the prestigious Roar of the Crowd award. His show received the highest audience rating online of all shows playing in Southern California at that time. His web and Myspace sites generate in excess of 125,000 hits per year.
Today, John continues to study the art of magic and devotes countless hours perfecting his craft. Adding different elements to each of his pieces, “There is something for everyone,” he says.
Beyond having fun at what he does, his first priority is to please his audiences. To him, there’s nothing more satisfying then knowing people walk away from his shows amazed and eager to return. John Gabriel believes magic is the universal art and he works hard to make others share his belief. He has put his magic to work in a positive way by raising over $500,000 for charitable organizations.
“My grandfather always taught me to utilize my opportunities in life and to help others as much as I can,” said Gabriel.
John Gabriel delivers a fresh, dazzling and suspenseful show that engages the audience at many levels. With more than 1,000 performances, John has honed his show to become what critics acknowledge to be one of the most spectacular illusion shows in the world.
